Breast Thermography
In 1982, the FDA approved breast thermography as an adjunctive breast cancer screening procedure. An abnormal infrared image is the single most important marker of high risk for developing breast cancer. Breast thermography has the ability to detect the first signs that a cancer may be forming many years before any other procedure can detect it. Research has shown that breast thermography significantly augments the long-term survival rates of its recipients by as much as 61%.
Body Thermography
The Upper Body Thermogram includes the breast study and serves as the initial breast thermogram to establish the baseline. The patient gets a diagnostic scan with results interpreted by a licensed MD Thermographer covering the spine, back, abdomen, head and neck, as well as an optional neck study if chosen, to rule out carotid arteries and/or thyroid conditions.
To name a few issues that can be detected; TMJ, autoimmune dysfunction, fibromyalgia and circulatory problems.
The Whole Body Thermogram includes the breast study and serves as the initial breast thermogram to establish the baseline. The patient gets the same scan results listed in the Upper Body Thermogram; as well as hip and knee joint function/dysfunction, deep vein thrombosis, and other circulatory health.

Pre-Imaging Instructions
It is necessary to follow certain protocols to ensure that your images and reports reflect an accurate reading. Please read and abide by the instructions listed below.
Preparing for your Imaging:
No sunburn on the day of imaging (you will have to reschedule).
On the Day of Imaging:
No make-up on the day of imaging. You will be asked to remove it.
No exercise 4 hours prior to imaging.
No physical therapy such as massage, chiropractic, osteopath, or acupuncture 12 hours prior to imaging.
Wear comfortable/loose fitting clothes to your appointment.
Thermography is safe during pregnancy or nursing.
Special Instructions:
Privacy screening: You will be partially or fully disrobed (depending on the type of appointment) for purposes of both imaging and to allow for the body temperature to equilibrate with room temperature.
Imaging is conducted in a private examination room.
