Breast Thermography

In 1982, the FDA approved breast thermography as an adjunctive breast cancer screening procedure.
An abnormal infrared image is the single most important marker of high risk for developing breast cancer.
Breast thermography has the ability to detect the first signs that a cancer may be forming many years before any other procedure can detect it.
Research has shown that breast thermography significantly augments the long-term survival rates of its recipients by as much as 61%.


Body Thermography

The Upper Body Thermogram includes the breast study and serves as the initial breast thermogram to establish the baseline. The patient gets a diagnostic scan with results interpreted by a licensed MD Thermographer covering the spine, back, abdomen, head and neck, as well as an optional neck study if chosen, to rule out carotid arteries and/or thyroid conditions.

To name a few issues that can be detected; TMJ, autoimmune dysfunction, fibromyalgia and circulatory problems.

The Full Body Thermogram includes the breast study and serves as the initial breast thermogram to establish the baseline. The patient gets the same scan results listed in the Upper Body Thermogram; as well as hip and knee joint function/dysfunction, deep vein thrombosis, and other circulatory health.

Thermogram Preparation Notes

  • NO caffeine or smoking 2 hours prior to appointment.

  • NO lotions, potions, creams, antiperspirants, deodorants or sprays on area to be scanned before appointment.

  • NO sunbathing, hot tubs or saunas 4 hours prior to appointment.

  • NO makeup if face is to be scanned

  • NO strenuous exercise, activity, massage or physical therapy 2 hours prior to appointment.

  • Try not to scratch or aggravate skin area that will be scanned
